Introduction to Design Principles
In her book The Non-Designer's Design Book, Robin Patricia Williams introduced the C.R.A.P. design principles.
They partly repeat some of the concepts we've already covered, like the law of proximity.
But this is a good combination of principles to know, since they are relatively easy to understand and apply.
Contrast
Contrast is the difference in color, size, or brightness between elements.
The concept extends beyond text color and adherence to WCAG guidelines for accessibility.
Repetition
Repetition, as the name suggests, is the repetition of elements in the interface.
It brings consistency to the interface and makes it clean and easy to work with.
Alignment
As the name implies, alignment refers to the arrangement of elements in the interface.
It might be a bit tricky in some cases.
Proximity
Proximity is mostly the same as the law of proximity in UX laws. At least that's how I see it.
