Proximity
When objects are placed near each other, the mind perceives them as a whole.
This principle also appears in the UX Laws section, and for a good reason — it's one of the most fundamental ideas in both interface and graphic design.
Here in the context of design principles (C.R.A.P.), proximity is about visual grouping: putting related things close together so users instinctively see them as connected.
Even though the idea overlaps with the UX version, it's still useful to reinforce here — especially when thinking about visual layout and spacing in graphic design.
